Elections & Voter Registration

In order to register to vote or to request an absentee ballot, a properly completed form must be submitted to the Voter Registration/Elections office. Forms may be obtained from the Voter Registration office or by going to VotesPA.com and printing out the appropriate form.

Information for Candidates

Petitions for County, Municipal, or Party offices may be picked up at the elections/voter registration office or will be mailed upon request. Petitions for state and federal offices may be obtained from the Department of State or from the Department of State website.

APRIL 26, 2016 GENERAL PRIMARY ELECTION DATES (NON-UMOVA VOTERS)

January 26 First day to circulate and file nomination petitions
February 16 Last day to circulate and file nomination petitions
February 17 First day to circulate and file nomination papers
March 2 Last day for withdrawal by candidates who filed nomination petitions
March 28 Last day to REGISTER before the April primary election
April 19 Last day to apply for a civilian absentee ballot
April 22 Last day for County Board of Elections to receive voted civilian absentee ballots
April 26 GENERAL PRIMARY ELECTION
April 27 First day to REGISTER after April primary election
